1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences (such as staying logged in) over time. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session tokens, which we refer to collectively as “cookies” in this policy.

2. How we use cookies

Postbuddy keeps its use of cookies deliberately minimal. We use them for:

• Strictly necessary cookies — required to run the service. These keep you securely signed in (our session cookie), protect against cross-site request forgery during login and account-connection flows, and remember which brand workspace you are viewing. The service cannot function without these.
• Preference cookies — remember choices such as your theme (light/dark) and interface settings so the app looks the way you left it.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data to advertisers. If we introduce optional analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

3. Cookies set during account connection

When you connect a social account (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok), short-lived cookies are used to secure the OAuth handshake (for example, a state token to prevent CSRF). These are deleted once the connection completes.

4. Third-party cookies

Our hosting and infrastructure providers may set strictly necessary cookies to deliver the service securely and reliably. When you authenticate with a social platform, that platform may set its own cookies governed by its own policies, which we do not control.

5. Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, manage, block or delete cookies through their settings. Because our essential cookies are required for sign-in and security, blocking them will prevent you from logging in and using Postbuddy. Clearing your cookies will log you out.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
