AI Transparency
Last updated: June 25, 2026
Postbuddy uses artificial intelligence at the core of the product. We believe you should understand exactly where AI is involved, what it can and can’t do, and how to stay in control. This page explains how we use AI responsibly.
1. Where we use AI
Postbuddy uses AI to help you research, create and publish content. Specifically, AI powers:
- Trend research — scanning the public web for topics relevant to your niche and search terms.
- Content generation — drafting post copy tailored to each platform in the tone of voice you configure.
- Image design — generating original graphics and visuals to accompany your posts.
- Suggestions — hashtag ideas, alternative post variations, and best-time-to-post recommendations.
- Repurposing — turning your existing blog articles into fresh social posts with new angles.
2. AI-generated content is a draft, not a decision
Everything our AI produces is a starting point that you control. You can review, edit, regenerate or delete any AI output before it goes anywhere. By default the platform offers an approval queue so a human can review posts before they publish. If you switch on full autopilot, you are explicitly choosing to let posts publish automatically on your schedule — and you remain responsible for what is published from your account.
3. You are the author and owner
Content you generate with Postbuddy is yours to use. You are responsible for ensuring that the posts you publish are accurate, lawful, non-infringing and compliant with the terms of each social platform you post to. AI can make mistakes — it may produce inaccurate, outdated, biased or misleading statements. Always review AI output, and verify any facts, figures, quotes or claims before publishing, especially for regulated topics such as health, finance or legal matters.
4. Third-party AI models we use
To deliver these features, Postbuddy sends the necessary inputs (such as your topics, brand settings and post text) to third-party AI providers that host the underlying models on our behalf. We currently use Google’s Gemini models for text generation and research summarisation, and fal.ai (running image models such as Seedream) for image generation. These providers process your inputs only to return a result to us, under their own security and privacy commitments. The full list of providers, with their roles and processing locations, is on our Subprocessors page.
We do not train AI models on your content. Postbuddy does not sell your data, and we do not use your posts, messages or account content to train our own or third parties’ AI models. We send data to these providers only to generate the output you requested, and we use available controls to opt out of having your inputs used for their model training.
5. What our AI does not do
- It does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
- It does not access your social accounts beyond the permissions you grant through each platform’s official login.
- It does not impersonate real people, and you must not use it to do so.
- It does not guarantee engagement, reach, growth or any particular business outcome.
6. Accuracy, bias and limitations
AI models are probabilistic and trained on large datasets that can contain errors and biases. As a result, generated text and images may occasionally be factually wrong, repetitive, generic, or reflect unintended bias. Generated images are illustrative and may contain visual imperfections. We continuously tune our prompts and models to improve quality, but we cannot guarantee that every output is accurate or appropriate. Treat all output as a draft requiring human review.
7. Your controls
- Review mode — keep an approval step so nothing publishes without a human tap.
- Tone & topics — shape what the AI writes about and how it sounds in your Agent settings.
- Image style — choose how visuals are produced, or turn off AI imagery entirely.
- Edit everything — every draft is fully editable before scheduling or publishing.
- Delete — remove any AI-generated draft, post or asset at any time.
8. Acceptable use of AI features
You must not use Postbuddy’s AI features to create unlawful, deceptive, hateful, harassing, infringing or harmful content, to generate spam or disinformation, to impersonate others, or to violate the rules of any connected platform. See our Acceptable Use Policy for full details.
9. Disclosing AI-generated content
Posts and images you create with Postbuddy are AI-assisted. Many platforms and laws now require AI-generated or significantly altered media to be disclosed, and as the publisher you are responsible for meeting those rules on the accounts you connect. In particular:
- Platform labels:TikTok, Meta (Instagram & Facebook), YouTube and LinkedIn require creators to disclose AI-generated or synthetic media, and several automatically apply an “AI” / Content Credentials label. Use each platform’s AI-content disclosure setting where applicable.
- EU AI Act: under transparency obligations phasing in during 2026, generative-AI output should be marked as artificially generated, and realistic “deepfake” depictions of real people or events must be disclosed.
- Honest marketing: AI must not be used to deceive — for example, fabricating testimonials, reviews or endorsements, or impersonating real individuals.
We are working toward built-in provenance signals (such as C2PA “Content Credentials”) for generated images. In the meantime, please label AI-generated content where the relevant platform or law requires it.
